What’s in this Smoothie?

Spinach is a great source of Iron and an excellent source of vitamin K, vitamin A and vitamin C.

Apples are linked to helping to lower the risk of many major diseases, including diabetes. Loaded with soluble fibre, it helps promote weight loss and its skin contains quercetin, which can help regulate the immune system and reduce inflammation.

Pineapples contain high amounts of vitamin C and manganese, which is important an antioxidant. Pineapples are also loaded with B vitamin thiamin, which is involved in energy production.

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup of Ice Cold Water
  • 1 Packed Cup of Fresh Spinach
  • 1 Cup Apple Chunks (frozen if your blender can cope with ice)
  • 1/2 Cup Pineapple Chunks (frozen if your blender can cope with ice)

Instructions

Add the ingredients in order so that the softer ingredients are closer to the blades. Remember if using a Nutribullet, this is reversed as you flip the cup over once you have put the lid on.

  1. Add the water, spinach, banana and fruits into the blender.
  2. Secure the lid and blend until smooth and creamy
  3. Pour and serve immediately or put into an airtight container and store in the fridge for later.
