What’s in this Smoothie?

Apples are linked to helping to lower the risk of many major diseases, including diabetes. Loaded with soluble fibre, it helps promote weight loss and its skin contains quercetin, which can help regulate the immune system and reduce inflammation.

Green Tea can reduce the formation of free radicals in the body, protecting cells and helping to reduce signs of ageing.  It helps raise your metabolism and promote fat burning and also contains L-theanine, that can help you focus and reduce anxiety.

Lemons are high in vitamin C and which helps you maintain a healthy complexion, weight control, and digestive health.

Olive Oil is high in healthy monounsaturated fats, is also full of powerful antioxidants and has natural anti-inflammatory properties

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup of Boiling Water
  • 2-3 Green Tea Bags
  • 1 Apple
  • 1/2 Avocado
  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • Juice of half a Lemon
  • 1 Cup of Ice Cubes (Optional)

Instructions

  1. Boil the kettle and throw 2-3 Green Tea bags into a cup and pour the boiling water over them and let them steep for about 10 mins.
  2. Fish out and squeeze the tea bags and add some ice to the green tea to help cool it down quickly. 
  3. Once the tea has cooled, combine all of the ingredients in your blender so that the softer ingredients are closer to the blades. Remember if using a Nutribullet, this is reversed as you flip the cup over once you have put the lid on.
  4. Add the remaining ice cubes if you have space.
  5. Secure the lid and blend until smooth and creamy
  6. Pour and serve immediately or put into an airtight container and store in the fridge for later.

Notes

You can make the green tea concentrate ahead of time and keep in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
